Agee804 Runs Down Pretenders In Lurching Video For “Clout Chasers”

Rabid & brassy is the tone local rapper Agee804 takes on his latest music video for “Clout Chasers,” his latest single from his October 2019 record, Trappers Can Save The World, which finds him eviscerating those spending their time talking about their work rather than doing the work itself.

And is he wrong? Posing, stunting, grandstanding – whatever you call it, all it’s worth is an avalanche of headaches and eye-rolls that Agee804 has clearly dealt with for too long.

From the opening moments of the video, shot by skexrh, you can tell the rapper’s patience has run dry as he bounces in and out of a mundane storefront (leading credence to the “grind over glitz” ethos the song describes) while unloading all of these transgressions and annoyance into a frantic flow over an instrumental built on siren tones and bobbing rhythms.
