J.Lamaj Showcases Crime & Harmony On Video For “In My City”

While the rest of us were spending New Year’s Day nursing hangovers and lamenting the end of the holiday season, local hip-hop artist J.Lamaj hit the ground running on the first day of the new year (and decade) by releasing a brand new video to his February 2019 single “In My City.”

The video, put together by Stony Films, relays the precarious reality of city life, showcasing scheming & plotting in a story bookended by robberies on surprised victims that serves as the first part in an on-going cinematic story as evident by the “to be continued” placard at the conclusion.

Utilizing a grainy filter and bouncing edits, the music video captures the distressed ambience of the track, with its fetching & infectious melody serving more as a cautionary tale than an invitation.
