Landon Elliott’s Stirring “By Now” Featured On RVATRACK22

Just before 2019 began, as we were preoccupied with finalizing our best of 2018 list, RVATRACK dropped their 22nd installment featuring a galvanizing performance of the new song “By Now” by Landon Elliott. We may have missed talking about it before, but rest assured, this video and song have both been on a constant repeat for us since it was released a few weeks ago.

With a driving sound and rousing message, the song is an instant favorite as Elliott marshals his bandmates around a timeless sound grounded by roots appeal and driven by radical passion. Most curious about the song are the heartwarming harmonies, something enhanced by the close proximity of the video, all of which really help the song land close to any listener hitting play.

“By Now” precedes Landon Elliott’s forthcoming record, due out early this year on American Paradox Records, a local label that’s put out some of the best local (and national) records over the last few years from Sid Kingsley’s Good Way Home in 2017 to Kenneka Cook’s Moonchild. The pedigree of their discography alone puts an anticipatory spotlight on Landon Elliott, but with this new video, that spotlight only grows and grows due to his own stirring talent.
