Richmond Bandcamp Friday Raffle For Richmond Music Week

Bandcamp Friday returns today and The Auricular is proud to present its updated collection of all Bandcamp links from Richmond musicians, which has now climbed to over 1,800 links! This month’s list comes with a special twist in conjunction with the inaugural Richmond Music Week: any purchase of over $15 from a Richmond musician’s Bandcamp can enter you to win $100 in a special raffle prize! All you need to do is e-mail proof of purchase to richmondmusicweek@gmail.com and then tune into Richmond Music Week on Saturday, August 5th when they announce the winner!

For a quick refresher, Bandcamp Fridays first began in March of 2020 to help musicians coping with lockdown orders by waiving all revenue share that would typically go to the platform. Since then, on the first Friday of several month, more than 800,000 fans have raised more than $81 million dollars for artists that can help with the little things like gas and groceries or the bigger things like studio time and new equipment. It’s a noble gesture from Bandcamp and one we’re happy to see come back each and every month.

To help focus that generosity locally, we’ve compiled a ridiculously long list of links from Richmond musicians so you can purchase a song, a record, or maybe some merchandise and help put some extra cash in their pocket today. This list is completely randomized with a new order available each time you visit the webpage in order to give equal placing to all of the vital artists in our vibrant music scene.
