3PEACE Fends Off Infiltration With Ferocity On “Trespasser”

Metalcore band 3PEACE certainly doesn’t have the patience to deal with any duplicitous people. That’s the story coming out of their latest single, “Trespasser,” where the band rises up against a serpentine maligner with a forceful musical assault that’s surpassed by intense lyrical disdain and ferocious vocal scorn. The band expands on this story in a new video too, where they frame this unwelcome presence as a criminal menace that they must expel.

As is the case with this assertive band, “Trespasser” features a torrent of metal and hardcore sounds that unleashes a seething melodic rage. The music packs a potent punch, but its most caustic blows are saved for the lyrics where the band truly unloads. “You crawl in like a snake/ Now it’s off with your head/ It’s time you found your place/ Your name will be erased” barks Tobias Horne in one of the tamer repudiations within the bitter and hostile track. In the video, shot by Jay Spencer and Nicholas Uribe, we see a genuine showcase of the band’s mauling performance style, with thrashing rhythms, serrated riffage, and bellowing roars. In between frenzied shots of the band reveling in the cathartic fury, we see a menacing home invasion unfold, one that’s left unresolved by the end of the video, but helps relays the song’s message of unwelcome intrusion that needs immediate expulsion.

“Trespasser” is the first single from 3PEACE in 2023, following a trio of brash and furious singles in 2022: piercing track “Cut Me Under” in April, carving groove “Misery in June, and then the pummeling assault “Hospitalization” in October. In between all of these single releases, the band has kept busy, playing shows all over the region that have attracted a rabid following that matches their virulent sound. More new music is surely on the way from the band and hopefully, it continues to hone the band’s roaring frenzy which becomes more imposing with each new song.
