FNF Chop Enlists Fivio Foreign For New Trap Track “Repeat”

 In News

Richmond’s viral MC FNF Chop continues to capitalize on his recent success, this time teaming up with the Brooklyn drill rapper Fivio Foreign on his new single and video “Repeat.”

The new single is a stalking hip-hop haunt with looming bars that confidently weave through grim and nagging piano notes. The accompanying video, shot by Teon of the Enlightened Minds collective, heightens the song’s impending terror as the visuals catch both MCs engaging in a bumping monologue while interrogating a restrained victim. With brief shots of FNF entering while brandishing a brick and Fivio getting up close and personal with the perpetrator, the song and video together feel like the duo is putting the East Coast rap scene on notice as their individual stars continue to rise.

It’s been a whirlwind year for FNF Chop to say the least. After going viral in 2021 on Tik Tok with his song “Walk Down” (while still in jail), the rapper signed with RCA Records earlier this year and released the No Way Out EP with stand-out tracks like “Walkdown” and “Best Friend.” Those songs saw FNF Chop collab with Sheff G, Young Nudy, and Stunna 4 Vegas, but Fivio Foreign might be his most high-profile partnership to date and one that points to bigger and better things on the horizon for the local rapper. Chop seems to be taking all of this in stride, releasing a short montage on TikTok earlier this month that showed the unlikely journey the rapper has been on since last year. (TikTok link here.) His journey is far from over though and the Richmond music scene is thrilled to find out what the future holds for the determined 23 year old.
