Keymari Contends With High Demands In “Expensive Taste” Video

Everything is never enough for some people, an aching realization that fuels “Expensive Taste,” the new song from Richmond musician Keymari, recently featured in the ongoing Booth The Streets video series.

Filmed in a nestled corner overlooking still waters, the video sets a contemplative tone from the start. Keymari opens with a sorrowful croon that builds into a frenzied lyrical flow, riding a pacing beat. The serene backdrop–with the sun sinking toward the horizon, cutting through the haze–strikes a sharp contrast to the song’s moody, murky atmosphere, providing a tinge of hope to a dour situation.

“Expensive Taste” is the first new single from Keymari since the release of “Top Ten” last August. While it’s been a several months since his last drop, 2024 was anything but quiet for the rising hip-hop artist–he delivered three singles and two EPs, keeping fans well-fed.
