Parkboy Shad Strides Through The “Smoke” In New Video

 In News

How do you drown out the noise? Distractions from every angle make it hard to complete a thought sometimes, which in turn blurs your focus and ability to grind away at your craft, passion, and art. It’s this dilemma that we find Parkboy Shad confronting on his newest single, “Smoke, which was featured in video producer HundoMadeIt’s Booth The Street series this past January.

Over a patient beat and a haunting melody, Parkboy Shad lays down the struggle of sifting through the haze, zeroing in on the things and people in life that are only keeping you from your goals. “Looking at them homeboys / Now they in your rear view / And now you got a clear view / Hope the streets gonna hear you,” he raps in a direct and emphatic manner which helps elevates the track’s imploring directive.

“Smoke” is the first single from Parkboy Shad since his 2020 album Conscious Of A Lost Soul. Full of bouncing tracks like “Go For It” and “Party N Bullshit,” the 20-track affair also housed some somber moments like the impassioned “Time Travel.” It’s here where Parkboy Shad fully shines, just like on “Smoke” where his message can weave through playful rhymes and punchy bars to truly resonate.
