Skino Steers A Swerving Beat On “Ride Witcha”

Punchy and brusque, local MC Skino packs a lot into his songs, with coursing bars that roll out rapidly across his terse songs. This style is evident on “Ride Witcha,” a forceful track that showcases his frenzied style which was on full display in a video from producer HundoMadeIt’s Booth The Street series this past February.

“Excuse me sir, my life is like a movie, this is not a show,” Skino proclaims in the track, a line squeezed into threats and pitches that showcase his thorny yet focused mindset. Clocking in at less than two minutes, it doesn’t take long for Skino to grab your ear and he doesn’t waste any second relaying his rabid attitude over a leaning piano line and palpitating beat. In the video, his expressive presence amplifies the song, letting him swing through the bluster while also conveying the truly important blows that you need to take away from the song.
