zee !! Strides Through Campus, Bars Blazing On “yep”

Sometimes, the best response is the simplest one. No over-explaining, just a confident word that echoes well beyond its brevity: “Yep!” That’s the energy driving Richmond hip-hop artist zee !! on her single “yep” and its accompanying music video, the first entry in the Off Campus series for 2025.

Shot by the Cam Culture Media team, the video captures zee !! surrounded by an animated crew in and around Virginia State University, fully locked into the track’s sharp, assertive energy. “yep” is both bouncy and hard-hitting, packed with pointed bars from the compact MC as she skates over an overblown beat and a looping vocal beckon, an undeniable statement from a rising voice in Richmond’s crowded hip-hop scene.

Originally released in June 2024, “yep” marked zee !!’s official debut, kicking off a streak of rapid-fire releases, including “pullin up,” “what u want?,” “homicide,” “DOWN BAD,” and “Clock It.” She followed up earlier this month with her debut EP, VIRGINIAS FINEST, alongside the standalone single “Which One?,” pointing to a relentless release schedule with no slowing down in sight. With each release, zee !! keeps leveling up, and this is just the beginning of the waves she’s bound to make in central Virginia.”
